Family Problems?

Any family member struggling with addiction—you, your partner, your son or daughter, a sibling, a parent, or a dear friend—brings tension to the dynamic. A loved one abusing alcohol or other drugs can make the whole family feel out of control. You have lost yourself. We’ve been there too, but help is available at your fingertips. We are equipped with Licensed Clinicians ready to evaluate you, your spouse, or your children to determine the degree of impairment affecting your family and, most importantly, to help you regain yourself.

Codependent?

For each of the 27 million people who struggle with Substance Use Disorder, there are eight individuals suffering from Codependency: a behavioral condition defined by unhealthy and imbalanced relationships. A disorder in its own right, codependency enables sufferers of addiction through blurred boundaries between the needs of “self” and “others.” A codependent relationship diminishes autonomy and self worth, often culminating in a lower quality of life.

Historically, textbook codependency was exclusive to relationships with persons suffering specifically from Substance Use Disorder, but that definition has been broadened. It is not uncommon for people dealing with this condition to have been raised in a family where there was history of SUD which may no longer be active. Signs of co-dependent behavior include neglect to care for oneself, mixed perception of self worth, and the feeling that your happiness is achieved by meeting other peoples needs or desires without regard for possible damages.

If you’d like to know whether codependency is part of your life, you can take the Friel Survey here. This survey is the industry standard for self-assessment of codependency and is provided at no charge.

Legal Problems?

Legal penalties are a shock to the system! Perhaps you were cited for Driving Under the Influence, but it wasn’t the first time you drove that way. Maybe you were reported for acting strangely or violently. Regardless of the circumstances, it’s time to be honest with yourself – your drinking or drug use is catching up with you in an unavoidable way. We have been there and found a way out. You cannot change what has happened before today, but you can choose a different future: a better future. While not every day is perfect for those in recovery, any day is better than time spent under the control of drinking or drugs. Reach out to us now—we will get you to a Licensed Substance Use Disorder Clinician today.
