What is Codependency?
For every one of the 27 million people who struggle with Substance Use Disorder, there are eight individuals suffering from Codependency: a behavioral condition defined by unhealthy and imbalanced relationships. A disorder in its own right, codependency enables sufferers of addiction through blurred boundaries between the needs of “self” and “others.” A codependent relationship diminishes autonomy and self worth, often culminating in a lower quality of life.
What is Addiction?
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is characterized by chronic physical and psychological inability to control the use of a legal or illegal substance even though it is causing harm.
